1) Use baby gates that have certified for safety. Because some gates are not certified and could be potentially unsafe.
2) Buy a baby gate with only vertical slats. Horizontal slats, can be used for climbing over the top (but it rarely made today).
3) Pressure gates must be installed with the lock release on the side that baby cannot access it or on the protecting area or stair side.
